Throughout the year we have classroom events and In The Beginning center wide events.

Classroom events

Easter celebration

Each class has its own Easter party with age appropriate activities for parents to participate with their child.  We always seem to have wonderful weather for the Easter egg hunt and picnic that takes place on our playgrounds.

Christmas Celebration

Each classroom has a Christmas play and party with appropriate fun activities for both parents and students participation.  This is an especially fun time for everyone involved, a lot of creativity and  preparation goes into this performance and social celebrating the birth of our King.

Pre-K family outings

Farmers market

Picnic in the spring.  Families and teachers met at the NC framers market downtown and have a picnic style lunch and play in the open field before walking through the open air market to learn more about North Carolina grown vegetables, vegetable plants and flowers.

Hands on Museum

In downtown Raleigh.  Families and Teachers met at the downtown Hands on Museum for an afternoon or morning full of discover, exploration and fellowship.  This is a fun time for students to play and discover together while parents participate and socialize with each other.

In The Beginning Events

Graduation Celebration

In The Beginning graduates impress with graduation presentation full of songs, bible scripture recital, and facts about our graduates, along with a graduation ceremony.  It is a wonderful, fun, prideful, and tears filled night as graduates move the tassel symbolizing they are primed and ready for kindergarten.  Cake and of course fellowship follow the ceremony.

Fall Festival Celebration

In The Beginning does not celebrate Halloween but rather a celebration of the fall harvest.  We get together for fun games and good eats prepared by none other than Chef Ray.  We have a traditional pig roast with all the fixings, with games and of course good family fellowship.  This is a family favorite event with lots of hard work from owners, volunteers and teachers serving our families with an afternoon of fun and feast.  This year we had two inflatable bounce houses, a parking lot hayride, and activity booths, like face painting, pumpkin decoration, and skills testing like ring toss, and obstacle course, and many other interesting and exciting challenges for the kids and parents delight.  We also seem to always have great weather for this event this year it rained after wonderful weather but not till the end during cleanup.
